Elizabeth started her professional career as a school teacher specialising in music, and subsequently trained as a piano and voice teacher. She has recently gained an MA (with Distinction) in Psychology for Musicians at the University of Sheffield and is now starting a PhD at the University of Leeds into the outcome of anxiety on performance She is particularly interested in how psychological effects can limit individuals in achieving their full potential. During her career of over 30 years she has had wide experience of anxiety states and negative thinking and knows the detrimental effects that this creates and how limiting this can be. She is dedicated to alleviating such conditions not only in music performance but in any area in life. Elizabeth believes that everyone has the right to a full and positive life and this can be achieved once inhibiting thinking has been removed. By changing negative feelings and replacing them with positive suggestions this is truly possible.
